Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information this website collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Last updated August 30, 2026

1. Who this policy applies to

This Privacy Policy applies to this website and the web design services offered by Jason Tortorete, referred to here as “I,” “me,” or “my.” It covers information collected when you visit the website, submit a project inquiry, or communicate with me about potential or current work.

2. Information collected

I collect information you choose to provide through the project inquiry form or by email. Depending on what you submit, this may include:

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your preferred contact method, mobile number when applicable, and consent to receive a personal text response when you choose text or allow text as part of a no-preference response.
  • Your business or organization name.
  • Your current website address.
  • The website address submitted to the Website Checker, Storefront Test, Bot & Crawler Check, Domain & Email Health Check, or Project Planner website snapshot.
  • Which website tool was used, when it was run, whether it completed, and limited result information such as a score, grade, or readout label.
  • Whether a website submitted to a tool continued to another free tool or selected the option to work with me.
  • The type of project you are considering.
  • How you heard about my services.
  • Details about your business, goals, timeline, or other information included in your message.

The website and its hosting or security providers may also process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, browser and device type, referring page, timestamps, and server or security logs.

The website also keeps aggregate counts of successful public page views. Each count is grouped only by Eastern date, public page path, and referring domain. This dataset does not store an IP address, browser or device details, a cookie, a visitor identifier, or an individual browsing history.

3. How information is used

I may use the information collected to:

  • Review and respond to project inquiries.
  • Run the requested website tool and respond by text when you explicitly invite me to do so.
  • Understand which website tools are being used, identify repeated use across tools, understand which next steps are useful, troubleshoot failed runs, and improve those experiences.
  • Discuss, scope, quote, and provide requested services.
  • Maintain records related to prospective and current clients.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
  • Understand aggregate traffic to public pages without identifying individual visitors.
  • Comply with legal, accounting, or professional obligations.
  • Prevent misuse, fraud, or security incidents.

I do not use inquiry information to send unrelated marketing messages unless you separately agree to receive them.

The internal website activity record does not intentionally store an IP address, browser fingerprint, visitor identity, or contact information. Website addresses are grouped by domain for private, first-party usage analysis.

When you request a text response, message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text communication at any time by replying STOP.

Lawful bases where applicable. Where a privacy law requires a lawful basis, I rely on consent for optional analytics and requested text messages; steps taken at your request and performance of a contract when discussing or providing services; legitimate interests in operating, securing, understanding, and improving the website; and compliance with legal obligations when required. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

4. When information is shared

I do not sell personal information. I also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

Information may be processed by these service providers:

  • OpenAI provides ChatGPT Sites hosting and operation. OpenAI may process information collected through this site as needed to host, secure, and operate it under the agreement and data processing terms applicable to my account.
  • FormSubmit relays accepted form submissions to my email inbox after the site validates and securely stores them.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile helps distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse and may process limited network, browser, and device information for that purpose.
  • Google Analytics processes limited usage and device information only after a visitor allows optional analytics.

These providers may process information only as needed to perform their respective services. Form submissions are stored with the site before email delivery is attempted, so a delivery issue does not cause an inquiry to be lost.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a business reorganization or transfer.

5. Cookies and tracking

The website counts successful public page views without cookies or visitor identifiers. Recognizable automated traffic, private pages, prefetches, and application requests are excluded. These aggregate counts show page views rather than unique people and do not require a visitor to allow optional Google Analytics.

If you allow optional analytics, this website uses Google Analytics to understand page visits, navigation, section reach, tool progress, and important actions such as moving between tools or starting an inquiry. Google may process limited device, browser, approximate location, referral, and interaction information to provide these reports. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in this setup. Google Analytics does not load before you make that choice.

You can allow analytics, continue with only necessary storage, or change your selection later through “Cookie choices” in the website footer. Withdrawing analytics consent prevents future analytics events and removes this site's Google Analytics cookies where the browser permits it.

Necessary browser storage supports features you request, including remembering the visual theme, preserving website-tool results and Project Planner drafts on your device, remembering unlocked results, and storing your analytics choice. These features remain available when optional analytics is declined.

Analytics reports are used to improve this website and its tools, not for cross-site advertising. The aggregate public-page count and the private website activity record are separate from Google Analytics. The private activity record groups tool activity by the website address voluntarily entered into a tool. Neither first-party dataset intentionally stores the visitor's identity, IP address, or browser fingerprint. Browser privacy settings or content blockers may limit analytics.

To prevent automated abuse, the site temporarily applies request limits using a keyed, pseudonymous fingerprint derived from the requesting IP address and the route being protected. The raw IP address is not stored in that rate-limit record, and the fingerprint is used only for security and service reliability.

6. Retention and security

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, provide services, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Website tool activity may also be retained to understand long-term usage patterns and improve the tools, subject to reasonable review and deletion when it is no longer useful.

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information. However, no website, email system, or method of internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please do not submit passwords, payment information, health information, government identifiers, or other highly sensitive information through the project inquiry form.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a portable copy of personal information; to object to certain processing; and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. You may also have the right to complain to the data-protection regulator or other privacy authority in your location.

To make a request, email jasont.stat@gmail.com. I may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Certain information may be retained where required or permitted by law.

8. Children’s privacy

This website and these services are intended for adults and businesses. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact me so it can be reviewed and deleted as appropriate.

9. Third-party websites and international visitors

This site contains links to websites and services operated by others. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

My business is based in the United States. OpenAI and the other providers described above may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate, subject to the terms and safeguards applicable to their services. This site does not promise processing or storage in a particular country.

10. Changes and contact

This policy may be updated as the website, services, or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
